Dear Valued Boston Market Guest:

As always, the health and safety of the communities we serve, our guests and our team members are of utmost importance to us. With the growing concern about COVID-19, I wanted to share with you our usual routines and high standards, as well as the additional steps we have taken to further prevent the spread of illness and contamination.

Hand-washing: Our employees are required to regularly wash their hands, and must wash their hands at the start of their shift, after their break, after direct contact with another individual, after using the restroom or handling garbage, after handling cash, cleaning, beginning a new task and so on.

Cleanliness: We always strive to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and food safety. We have increased the frequency of disinfecting the dining area, door handles, back-of-house, and every counter surface of the restaurant. All utensils used for making and serving food are cleaned frequently; every time new food is brought out, the utensils are changed.

Preventive Measures: To further prevent illness and contamination, effective immediately, we have removed all salt and pepper shakers, condiment bottles (such as hot sauce), and lemons from our dining room. We will be providing salt and pepper packets, individual sauce containers and individually packaged lemon slices for guests upon request.

Employee Health: Boston Market employees are required to follow CDC recommended actions including staying home if they feel sick and only return to work once they are symptom free without medication for at least 24 hours.

Gloves: All team members are educated on proper glove use and are required to wear gloves when touching food with their hands. Gloves must be changed at regular intervals.

Guest Choice: We will give all dine-in guests the option to choose plastic plates and utensils that will be disposed of after use or our regular dine-in plate ware and flatware.

We hope to keep our restaurants open to serve the communities in which we operate. However, there may be times when we will adjust our operations as local conditions evolve, and this may include offering limited access to a restaurant, delivery only service, or closure of the restaurant as deemed necessary.

We will continue to follow updates and recommendations suggested by the CDC, local Departments of Public Health, and World Health Organization to ensure a safe environment for our guests and employees alike.
